Accumulation of dust and debris in the coils is a common problem. The coil maintenance is important in removing heated air. It is not just for summer only. At least twice a year, before summer and winter, your units should be inspected and cleaned if required. If your system is old and uses R-22 refrigerant commonly known as Freon, you may need to change it to R-410A due to a government phase out of Freon. Keep in mind, if you need to add refrigerant, it is an indication of a leak in your system. In order to get ahead of any costly repairs is to hire a maintenance service to do it for you.
